Victoria proclaims the top of reasonably priced heating as a result of local weather change – aligns with it?

The cold Australian state of Victoria has announced that going forward, people will have to rely on their increasingly unstable and unaffordable power grid to contain the winter chill.

Gas appliances such as heaters, hot water services and hobs would be phased out as part of a proposed moratorium on new gas connections to Victorian households to help the state meet its 2030 target of cutting CO2 emissions by up to 50 percent.
The city of Yarra is the first council to commit to converting its buildings, including pools and community centers, from gas to renewable electricity by 2030, and wants the state government to back a ban on gas hookups in new homes.

Given Green claims that investing in renewable energy will lower household electricity bills, all the Victorian government needs to do is make higher cost savings, which it continues to promise, rather than forcing higher costs on everyone. Then people will turn off their gas appliances willingly, without the financial hardship that a forced premature switch is likely to bring with it.
