The Republicans of the Home are desperately dishonest Trumpers into making recurring donations to the marketing campaign fund

“Friend request expires in 10 minutes!” reads an NRCC text request indicating that it is being sent by Trump. “Trump needs to know if you will be joining his new social media site.”

Potential donors will then be directed to a page that has an alleged “TRUMP SOCIAL MEDIA POLL” with the question “Will you be the first to join?” Is presented. To opt for Trump’s fictional social media site, people have two options:

  • Yes, I stand with Trump!
  • No, I prefer fake news!

Finally – and this is where the Grift gets really lucrative – the NRCC page has two pre-checked checkboxes. The first automatically makes a recurring monthly donation, and the second increases the first donation by $ 50.

But it’s not just the fact that the boxes are pre-checked, it’s the pronunciation in the boxes that really adds to the stakes. In the “Recurring” field, donors would have to deactivate: “We need your help to DESIGN Trump for the President!” Check this box if you want Trump to run again. Uncheck this box if you are NOT standing with Trump. “Below that is in smaller font” Make this a recurring monthly donation “as an afterthought of sorts.

The second box Trumpers needs to disable is: “Trump Patriot Status: Missing! As a TOP grassroots supporter, we were surprised you LEAVED him. This is your last chance to update your status to ACTIVE!” And again the retrospective thought: “Automatically donate another US $ 50 on (X date).”

The same recurring donation scam is repeated on the NRCC fundraising page, but instead a warning is given to donors, “If you clear this box, we must tell Trump that you are a DEFECTOR and you are on the Dems side.” Of course, leaving the box alone will force you to become a monthly donor.

Perhaps what is most amazing about all of this seedy NRCC scam isn’t the fact that it is modeled after a 2020 Trump campaign scam. It is the fact that Trump’s scam was exposed and publicized and the fundraising committees involved endured a number of fraud complaints that forced them to return tens of millions of dollars.

“In the last two and a half months of 2020, the Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee, and their joint accounts have given online donors more than 530,000 $ 64.3 million in refunds,” The New York Times wrote on Jan. April. The Trump operation returned 10.7 percent of the money it raised for WinRed in 2020. “

Overall, the Trump campaign was issued Refunds of $ 122.7 million.

But the bigger upside could be this: The Republicans in the house seem desperate in raising money by leaning on Trump’s name. Trump has been prominently represented at every step of the NRCC’s fraudulent publicity, and one has to wonder if the Republicans in the House – and perhaps even Republicans in Congress as a whole – have a chance of raising money from grassroots donors without Trump’s name to use.

In other words, without Trump, Republicans in Congress have no juice with the donors and voters they rely on to make big wins in 2022.
