The local weather that Murdoch Media denies is a risk to democracy.
Guest essay by Eric Worrall
According to former Australian Prime Ministers Malcolm Turnbull and Kevin Rudd and climate activist Michael Mann, the climate deniers from Murdoch Media were responsible for the unrest that led to the storming of the US Capitol on January 6th.

Former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp poses a real threat to Australian democracy, claiming it outperformed the coalition or Labor as the most powerful political force in the country.
…
In his evidence for the February investigation, Mr. Rudd said News Corp had used systematic character assassinations to foster a culture of fear among politicians and Campaign journalism against issues such as action against climate change. At the same public hearing, News Corp Australia Chief Executive Michael Miller dismissed the criticisms made by Mr Rudd and Mr Turnbull as “a convenient diversion from their own mistakes” during his taking of evidence.
…
“This is the fundamental problem we face: the most powerful political actor in Australia is not the Liberal Party or the National Party or the Labor Party. It’s News Corp. And it’s absolutely unaccountable, ”said Turnbull.
“It is controlled by an American family and their interests are no longer, if they ever were, co-extensive with our own.”
…
He said the political power of The Murdoch Empire is “an absolute threat to our democracy” – a threat America saw on January 6th when rioters stormed the US Capitol. Mr Turnbull said Murdoch-controlled Fox News had compounded the riots that led to riot by promoting the lie that President Joe Biden stole Donald Trump’s election.
“If you don’t believe this will not pose a threat to American democracy and will undermine the strength and ability of our most important ally. You must be kidding, ”said Mr. Turnbull.

Michael Mann has also joined the anti-Murdoch frenzy.
In order not to be outdone, even Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti-Defamation League has sneaked in with her own wild accusations. The ADL suggests the Murdoch media promote anti-Jewish conspiracy theories based on their painfully convoluted interpretation of something Tucker Carlson said. In my opinion, the ADL’s unrestricted participation in a political lynch mob is particularly shameful given its stated goals and history.
Contraction is the goal of despotism and tyranny. Free men pull in all directions. Terry Pratchett
If there is a real current threat to democracy, that threat is the growing obsession liberals seem to have for turning off the voices of people who disagree with them, whether political or climate science disagreements acts.
If Turnbull, Rudd, Mann, or the ADL could demonstrate a single incident in which Murdoch’s media actually incited violence or incited people to overthrow Australian democracy or the U.S. Republic, then no insubstantial accusations and wild allegations would be required. Inciting mob violence and rioting is a crime. News Corp executives would be in jail awaiting trial. A video replay of their alleged crime would be replayed repeatedly on the competing media’s cable feeds.
But the liberal lynch mob has nothing.
Why are they so interested in making wild, insubstantial accusations in an attempt to silence their opponents? Through my experience Only aching losers demand that their opponents be silenced.
Given the smell of desperation emanating from Mann, Rudd, and Turnbull, it’s safe to say that they don’t act like people who believe they will win.
