After meeting the Pope, Villardita told the Catholic News Agency that his experience as a Catholic made him “very happy” and said the Pope had told him to “take lots of selfies with the children in the square” .
Villardita shared that he felt an urge to be a symbol of hope for young people in hospitals, and so he began to dress like his childhood hero.
“When you’re in a hospital, you see the world through a different lens and appreciate the little things in life,” he told the local news. “A lot of people don’t know how lucky they are. So I felt this inner urge to do something, almost a mission. “
