⚡️ # CalEnergy, @californiapuc & @AirResources today released the agency’s first joint report examining how the state’s electricity system can become carbon-free by 2045.

The report is the first analysis called for in # SenateBill100.
# SB100 is the state’s pioneering policy that renewable and carbon-free energy resources will deliver 100% of retail electricity sales to customers by 2045.

⚡️The report found that # SB100’s goals can be achieved, but significant investment in new and existing technology will be required to achieve them. It also requires an increased and sustainable expansion of #CleanEnergy projects in order to put these resources online.
⚡️ # SB100 builds on the significant advances CA has already made toward a #CleanEnergyFuture, including efforts to promote renewable energy, energy efficiency and storage technologies.
#CAClimateAction is imperative as the state continues to be exposed to the damaging effects of #ClimateChange like never before.
