A Waymo self-driving car stalled several times, temporarily slowing down traffic, and pulling away unexpectedly when help arrived. The stubborn autonomous vehicle was eventually commanded by a support driver.
Joel Johnson has recorded several dozen videos documenting his journeys in Waymo Robotaxis and posting them on his website and YouTube channel.

Johnson is advised to remain seated with the seat belt fastened in the event the car starts moving again, which it does: About four minutes later, the car decides to turn south into the unblocked left country and then back to the right Turn lane between two traffic cones after passing the sign “keep left”, which instructs drivers not to be in this lane.
“Oh, I don’t think it should,” Johnson said to the Waymo operator, who is still on the line. “… Oh, now it’s blocking the whole street.”
A few minutes later the car turns into the open left lane.
“Okay, so let’s back off,” said Johnson. “Very interesting.”
“So it has withdrawn …” said the operator.
“And now it’s blocking the entire lane instead of half of it,” replied Johnson.

Note that the video has a section of annoying corporate voice-over. You can jump forward a little if you’re tired of hearing Waymo’s excuses.
This incident brings back memories of many years ago when my mother tried to teach me to drive. She turned up unexpectedly to teach me a lesson the day after a big night. It did not work.
Let’s just say that if my impression that autonomous taxis have difficulty achieving my driving skills on the day of my first driving lesson is correct, I will wait a few years before entrusting my life to a robot driver.
