GAO and ClimateLitigationWatch readers are familiar with the state of Rhode Island’s efforts to sue energy companies in a state court for causing climate change in hopes of making money after the government concludes that the “Assembly of the State [had] Very conservative leadership – doesn’t care about the environment ”so the governor is“ looking for a sustainable flow of funding ”.

No wonder, then, that at her hearing as Pres. Biden’s Secretary of Commerce Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo went on to say that spending targets for the “Climate” agenda cost a lot of money: “We need money,” and someone just has to suck it up and hand over their money to pay for it.

“We need money”. – Commerce Sec. Nominated Gina Raimondo

After two simultaneous notes from a meeting at the Rockefeller mansion (one sentence handwritten by an employee of the Rocky Mountain Institute, another by a representative of Tom Steyer’s Energy Foundation), Raimondo’s own cabinet employee, Janet Coit, head of environmental management, put down argued that this meant suing “in a state court” for “priority – sustainable funding”.

So dig deep, you have a spending agenda. And you’re just the people who pay for it.
