Work in England if you are a senior executive who brings significant economic benefits to the UK
Executives can temporarily exit quarantine in England if they are engaged in business activities that are likely to produce significant economic benefits to the UK.

You may be permitted to temporarily exit the UK coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine if you are an executive in a company engaged in activities that are likely to be of significant economic benefit to the UK.
You are only exempt if you engage in activities that qualify for exemption. At all other times, you need to isolate yourself.
You must inform the government of your intention to use the exemption prior to travel. You will only be able to claim the exemption if you have received written confirmation from the government that you are eligible based on the information provided.
This exemption is intended to allow activities that create and maintain jobs and investment in the UK while taking steps to ensure that public health risks are minimized.
Who is liberated
Certain officers engaged in activities that would be more likely to generate “significant economic benefit” for the UK are exempted. Read the regulations for a full definition of “Senior Executive”.
The exception applies to 2 types of managerial staff (provided they have qualified jobs in England). These are:
- multinational leaders – Foreign-based executives who are part of multinational companies visiting their UK subsidiaries or offices
- international executives – Executives of overseas companies who are normally resident overseas and who wish to pursue tax-exempt work in England in relation to:
- make a financial investment in a UK company
- Creation of a new company in the UK
You are not eligible for the exemption if your activities can be performed remotely (e.g. by phone or email) or by someone other than you who would not have to leave self-isolation.
If the job you do has a greater than 50% chance of creating or maintaining at least 500 UK based jobs in any of the following areas, you are considered to be of “significant economic benefit”:
- an existing UK company with at least 500 employees 500
- a new UK business within 2 years from the date you arrive in the UK

This outrageous ingratiation to the elites, which imposes travel and movement restrictions on ordinary people but allows elites to do what they want, could continue well beyond the Covid pandemic.
As early as 2020, the British government suggested to the BBC that Covid locks were a template for a future permanent climate lock. So it’s pretty obvious where this new trend of imprisoning ordinary people might be headed, but giving the elite an exception, provided they pass a wealth and importance test.
