Trump Group has one final probability to persuade New York prosecutors to not carry expenses

Trump attorneys met with prosecutors Thursday, but Monday is their last chance to file lawsuit against criminal charges, according to The Washington Post. If you are a wealthy person or company involved in potential financial crime, you are given this type of chance.

The current focus on Weißelberg and his fringe benefits is part of an effort to get him to attack Trump and help with investigations into other aspects of the Trump organization’s business, including possible tax and bank fraud, but it appears prosecutors are now think they have enough not only to pressure Weisselberg but to charge the Trump organization with the crimes based on what they already have.

Former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen turned enthusiastically and provided prosecutors with possible investigative routes, but Weisselberg has apparently remained loyal to Trump so far.

Trump has predictably called the investigation a “witch hunt”. And it’s true that his public reputation became aware of his business … but that’s a series of decisions he made. Trump ran a company that appeared to have done dubious business and then sought the limelight. He can’t really be surprised that the spotlight also illuminates the things he wanted to hide.
